This Is Congo Premieres At Venice Biennale

The new film exploring the world’s longest continuing conflict in Africa, This is Congo, has its world premiere at the Venice Biennale. Running from 30 August to 9 September, the prestigious festival features some of the very best in film as part of the city's biannual celebration of the arts.

An immersive and unfiltered look into the Democratic People's Republic of Congo director Daniel McCabe follows four compelling characters to offer a truly Congolese perspective on the problems that plague this lushly beautiful nation.

Variety hosted film's trailer in a special world exclusive.
