Three Dogwoof films at Zurich Film Festival

Three Dogwoof films will screen as part of Zurich Film Festival later this month.

2016 marks the 12th anniversary of the festival and takes place from September 22nd to October 2nd. The festival heavily focuses on upcoming talent, films selected for competition must be first, second or third directing works in order to be eligible.


Forever Pure

Forever Pure recently marked its international premiere at Toronto Film Festival and will now screen at Zurich Film Festival to mark the European premiere. The film was a huge hit at Jerusalem Film Festival for its world premiere where it took home three awards: The Van Leer Award for Best Director of a documentary, The Haggiag Award for Best Editing and The Jewish Experience Awards - special mention.


Weiner

Weiner will also screen at the festival and marks the directorial debut for directors Josh Kriegman and Elyse Steinberg.

The film first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival where it took home the Grand Jury Prize for US Documentary.


Mapplethorpe: Look at the Pictures

The film first premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was recently nominated for the Creative Arts Emmy Awards for outstanding cinematography for a nonfiction program and outstanding documentary.
