BIFA nominations for The Confession and Versus

The nominations for the British Independent Film Awards were announced this morning with The Confession and Versus: The Life and Films of Ken Loach receiving nominations for Best Documentary! Versus director Louise Osmond took home the same award at the 2015 awards for her film Dark Horse. The award winners will be announced at the BIFA ceremony in London on 4 December - best of luck to The Confession and Versus!

The Confession

Moazzam Begg has experienced a generation of conflict. This is his first-hand account, a chronicle of the rise of modern jihad, its descent into terror and the disastrous reaction of the West.

Versus: The Life and Films of Ken Loach

VERSUS is a funny, provocative and revealing account of the life and career of Ken Loach, one of Britain’s most celebrated and controversial film directors, as he turns eighty and looks back at his extraordinary fifty year career.

Also nominated for Best Documentary are Dancer, The Hard Stop and Notes on Blindness. A full list of nominees for the awards can be found here.
