Dreamcatcher nominated for NAACP Image Award

Kim Longinotto's Dreamcatcher has been nominated for Outstanding Documentary at this years NAACP Image Awards.

The NAACP Image Awards is the nation’s preeminent multicultural awards show from an African-American point of view. The event celebrates the outstanding achievements and performances of people of color in the arts, as well as those individuals or groups who promote social justice through their creative endeavors.

Dreamcatcher takes us into a hidden world through the eyes of one of its survivors: Brenda Myers-Powell. A former teenage prostitute who worked the streets of Chicago, Brenda defied the odds to become a powerful advocate for change in her community.
