WHO WE ARE
Dogwoof Global is the international sales arm of Dogwoof. We offer filmmakers worldwide sales representation along with a guaranteed UK distribution deal.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are looking for compelling documentaries with strong theatrical potential and clear appeal to the audiences in the UK. We aim to represent six to eight new titles annually.
Our approach is simple, transparent and innovative. We work in partnership with filmmakers prioritising international theatrical distribution over quick TV sales, and enjoy collaborating with likeminded, innovative distributors, who like us, strive to ensure long life for our films - beyond theatrical and TV - which means exploiting all rights, including VOD, DVD, and airline.
In our role as PMD’s, from the very second we sign the deal, we devise and implement the global marketing strategies, so that by the time the film is premiered it already has a global fan base, which makes it more appealing to potential buyers.
PRODUCERS OF MARKETING AND DISTRIBUTION (a.k.a. PMD)
The PMD role is a major development for Dogwoof Global. In many ways a formalisation of what Dogwoof has already been doing, the PMD role consists of, amongst other elements: identifying the film’s audiences and creating marketing, press and outreach strategies to engage with the audience; budgeting for these plans; sourcing partnerships, be they educational or corporate; overseeing the online presence including both social media and transmedia; and co-ordinating with third parties such as exhibitors, publicists, and sponsors.
